The gentlemen up front was friendly enough but the stay was terrible for me. Found an insulin needle stashed on top shelf of towel holder. They cleaned our room twice maybe 3 times in 2 weeks. No microwave in rooms. There is a fridge. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone..
The queen sized non-smoking room was spaced out enough, but the table and chair made the room look cheap. (could have used a couch and a separate closet) - the best thing they had for a closet was a coat hanger out in the open in the room.
Motel 6 is a pretty good place to use for a quick low priced use to get quiet time although I would not stay overnight. The rooms are pretty clean although my last visit my bathroom had some spots in it.
Front desk people were extremely helpful and friendly. On my first night the man at the desk treated me like we have been friends for years and helped me pass the time while I waited for my girlfriend. The room has been perfect and was very accommodating for the affordable price. We have been staying for almost a month and look to furthering our stay while we settle in with our new jobs and search for a new home or apartment.
Room did not come w/ an alarm clock or tv, and although I reserved a non-smoking room I was given one that smelled like cigarettes.
Stay was HORRIBLE? First, I was given a smoking room, which I did not request. I can't imagine if I was a smoker I would want that room. The odor was awful, there was cigarette burns on the furniture and the covers. I went to the office and they did change my room. The only reason i was staying at a Motel 6 was because I got last minute tickets to the Steelers game and this was the only hotel available. But, I figured I was just going to be there one night it couldn't be that bad. But, boy was I wrong. The second room (101), was at least better that the first room (109). It didn't smell bad. It was okay to sleep in for the night, until I tried to get a shower before going to bed. The shower head barely spit out water. Upon investigation of the shower head, I discovered the head was cracked, and more water was coming out of the back of the housing that what was coming out of the shower head. Also, the caulk around the tub was black, nasty, and cracking, which made the tub unacceptable to take a bath in. Like who would take a bath at a hotel anyway? I called the office first, and no help. So I walked to the office and still no help except to offer me a refund for the rest of the night stay. He was going to give me back $30 of the $63 I paid to stay there, since I had been checked in already. And I would have to leave. So, since I knew there were no other hotels in the area, I just went back to the room, worked with the head by using a towel to hold the head in place so I could get some water to come out of the correct spot. Got a very poor shower, went to bed, and went to the game the next day. Horrible experience, I'll sleep in my car before I stay in a Motel 6 again.
The guy at the counter was at least friendly, and I was able to check in almost right away. (same day check out was also easy and fast)
